bet365 is one of those bookmakers that seems to have a price on everything, and I do mean everything. Its own sports rules run alphabetically from American football to yachting, by way of kabaddi, pesapallo, sumo and drone racing (I’ve not bet on drone racing; I’ve thought about it). It still answers post at bet365 House on Media Way in Stoke-on-Trent, and its app is rated 4.7 on the App Store from more than 450,000 people, which is about as close as betting gets to a consensus. Underneath the size, it’s the little football extras that keep me there: a bet paid out if your team goes two goals up, and a goalscorer bet that rolls over to the sub.
If you have never had a bet365 account, here’s the welcome. Deposit, place bets to the value of your qualifying deposit (a tenner does it), and once they settle you get £30 in Bet Credits. The football extras. bet365’s Early Payout offer settles a pre-match full-time-result single as a winner the moment your team goes two goals ahead in selected competitions, including the Premier League and Champions League, whatever happens after. Sub On Play On rolls a player bet (goalscorer, shots, tackles, cards) over to the replacement if your man is substituted. Those two alone fix the two most annoying ways to lose a football bet.
Second, the breadth. bet365’s sports rules list more than 70 sports, from the obvious to the obscure: table tennis, darts, snooker, squash, padel, Gaelic sports, Australian rules, the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. One thing bet365 could do better
The welcome offer’s terms. “Min odds, bet and payment method exclusions apply” and “Time limits apply” are all the sheet terms tell you, so you have to open bet365’s own offer page to find out what odds count, which deposits are excluded and how long the Bet Credits last. A bookie this organised could put the three numbers that matter in one line. And the bonus code that doesn’t change the offer is honest, but it’s a little odd.

How a Bet Credit works: you choose the bet and the stake comes from the £30, but if it wins, the stake isn’t returned, only the winnings. And if you want to cash it out early, bet365 will only allow that when the offer is bigger than the Bet Credits you used.
Danny’s tip: don’t burn Bet Credits on short prices. Here’s a made-up example to show the maths. Say Arsenal are 2.50 to win. A £10 Bet Credit stake returns £25, minus the £10 stake that isn’t returned, so £15 to your balance. Put the same £10 on a 1.30 favourite and the return is £13, so £3. Spread the £30 across three bets at around evens to 2/1 and you give each one a sensible chance of paying something worthwhile.

bet365’s own tools: what each one does
- 2 Goals Ahead Early Payout. Pre-match singles on the standard full-time-result market in selected football competitions are paid as winners if your team goes two goals up at any stage of the 90 minutes. In multiples and Bet Builders the selection is marked as won and the rest stays live. Draws, Enhanced Prices and cashed-out bets are excluded. bet365 aims to pay within 15 minutes.
- NBA Early Payout. The basketball version, for eligible customers.
- Sub On Play On. If your player is substituted, the bet rolls to the replacement at the same odds. It covers goalscorer markets, shots, shots on target, tackles, fouls, assists, cards and goalkeeper saves where the icon shows.
- Acca Boost. Extra winnings on accumulators: 2.5% on doubles, 10% on 5-folds, 30% on 10-folds, 100% on 20-folds, up to £100,000. Any selection shorter than 1/10 kills the boost.

Bet Builder on bet365
bet365 calls it Bet Builder+ in the app: combine markets from selected events into one bet, with the price shown instantly, before the game or in-play. You can include up to 12 selections, with no more than six player selections per team. On selected sports with player markets, a pre-match Bet Builder is recalculated rather than voided if a player market is void. Elsewhere, one void leg voids the whole bet. No minimum number of legs or minimum odds is published, but Winnings Boost applies to Bet Builders with three or more selections at combined odds of 1/1 or bigger, and the Early Payout marks a qualifying Bet Builder leg as won.
bet365 in-play, cash out and streaming
In-play is bet365’s home ground: the app lists in-play betting across football, racing, basketball, tennis, golf, boxing and darts, and Match Live shows the stats and graphics as it goes. Cash Out is offered on selected events and markets, pre-match and in-play, on singles and multiples; the amount can be less than your stake, and it may disappear when live coverage stops.
Streaming is the best value in the building. You need either a funded sports account or a bet placed in the last 24 hours, and selected horse racing and greyhound streams need a qualifying bet. bet365’s app listing says it streams major football leagues, the NBA and the NFL among many others.
Payments and withdrawals
Paying in starts at £5 by debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Pay by Bank, Trustly, Revolut Pay or Paysafecard, £25 by PayPal and £100 by bank transfer, all instant except Trustly (sometimes up to three banking days) and bank transfer (two to ten banking days). Cards must be UK, Irish or Channel Islands debit cards; credit, prepaid and corporate cards are refused.
Getting it out is quick. Debit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Trustly, Pay by Bank, Revolut Pay and Paysafecard are all quoted at one to four hours, and Apple Pay at instant, with a £5 minimum (£10 for PayPal). bet365 says it aims to process card and bank requests within two hours, and money goes back to the method you paid in with where possible. No fees are listed.
